Dirt King +2" Long Travel Kit - 03-24 4Runner / 07-14 FJ Cruiser

Experience the best of both worlds with the Dirt King +2 long travel kit—enhanced off-road performance without compromising day-to-day comfort. This kit adds 2” of width per side, allowing for more than a 25% increase in suspension travel while still being compatible with stock fenders when paired with a zero or positive offset wheel and 33” tires. For a more aggressive look, zero or negative offset wheels and 35” tires can be used in combination with flared fenders.

This suspension system extends the wheelbase, allowing for proper fitment of 35” tires. Dirt King's design philosophy focused on creating a durable, low-maintenance system. To achieve this, they chose the new greaseless SilentSpin bushings for the upper control arms and Delrin bushings infused with PTFE for smooth operation on the lower control arms. Heavy-duty Moog ball joints ensure reliability at the outer pivots, and replaceable aluminum skid plates protect the lower arms on rough trails.

All essential mounting hardware is provided, and the kit supports multiple installation setups, whether you opt for coilovers only, coilovers with bypasses, or coilovers with bump stops. To accommodate the bump stops, the control arms feature an aluminum strike pad mounted to the bypass tabs, engaging at the optimal point throughout the suspension cycle.

4WD
To achieve the full amount of travel on 4WD models you must install the 1” diff drop kit and machine the inner CV’s for more articulation.

Shocks
For the best performance and to achieve the full amount of travel you must purchase Dirt King's spec built shocks or have them custom built based on Dirt King's coil over spec sheet. You may also use 4Runner OEM replacement coil overs (Dirt King, King, Fox, Icon) with 1.5” wide lower eyelet spacers with ½” mounting holes, to achieve desired ride height you may need to increase preload or go to a higher spring rate. For the OEM replacement coil overs to achieve proper collapse length you will want to run a 3/8" spacer. These shocks will work but limit the amount of wheel travel. The OEM replacement coil overs include reservoir mounts that may not be compatible with Dirt King's double shear kit option. Dirt King's long travel kit is also tabbed to accommodate bypass shocks. The bypass shocks will allow for superior suspension dampening and tunability. To mount the bypasses Dirt King offers a weld on bypass shock hoop kit (DK-811710) that can be purchased separately. The bypass shock hoop kit requires welding and modifications to the frame. For extreme off-roading the kit has the ability to accept bump stops or bypass along with the coil overs. The use of bump stops will also require welding and modifications to the frame.
